The mill serves to process both natural and washed coffee from several small coffee producers within the Pantan Musara villages.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese producers were dislocated from their homes and land because of a natural disaster several years ago, and they have rebuilt their lives and farms with a new focus on coffee.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlthough it's not traceable to specific varieties, this lot likely includes the most common varieties grown in Sumatra: Ateng, Bor Bor, Catimor, and Timor hybrids. This mix of local varieties creates a unique, complex, and exciting flavour profile.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis year, we purchased both washed and natural processed coffees from this mill. Pantan Musara Washed has juicy, crisp acidity reminiscent of pomelo with subtle earthy notes of spice and wildflower.
