Lazaro Escalante owns Finca El Coyol and Finca El Coyol 2 in Cuilco, an area with many beautiful coffee farms in Huehuetenango. He works to maintain the coffee area already planted and the native forest of their environment. He primarily grows Caturra and Bourbon varieties but also explores the creation of hybrids.

This season, he produced just 4 bags of 69kg coffee, and we had the honour of buying all of them. That makes this delicious coffee extra special—its complex, structured acidity brings juicy white grape and cacao notes, wrapped in fruity, jammy sweetness.
